MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads to Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. He released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album reached the top of the charts at number eighteen on the Top Latin Albums charts. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia is his collaborative effort with Noriel in the year 2020. The following year, Dopamina came out as his sophomore album. In 2021 he recorded the duet to TINI's smash single Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, as both his mother & his older brother are musicians. He has said in interviews that music is a must. He began playing guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant. While his initial career choice was to become a veterinarian his brother Julian advised him to go for singing classes with an Cuban instructor and as a consequence of him discovering his gift in the field of singing changed his entire life.
